Nestled in the woods near North
Liberty, Iowa, this antenna can't be seen from the road, but is
occasionally noticed by recreational boaters on Coralville Lake.
Surrounded by beautiful woods and water in the eastern
part of the state, the site experiences weather that runs the
gamut from cold, snow, ice, and wind in the winter, to heat and
high humidity in the summer. The antenna plays host to many
local learning institutions. Students from the University of
Iowa, as well as other local colleges and high schools, often
avail themselves of the opportunity to tour the facility. The
public is also welcome to visit during regular work hours. The
technicians will be happy to answer questions and give quick tours
if time allows.
