Between July 31, 2007 and August 30, 2007, there was an incorrect elevation pointing offset value installed in the antenna control unit at the VLBA antenna at Owens Valley. That value caused a pointing offset of about 10' at 60 degrees elevation. The adjacent values at 55 and 65 degrees were correct. The pointing offset used is interpolated to the elevation of the observation. The FWHM of the beam is about 1.9' at 22 GHz and scales with wavelength, so this pointing offset sent the antenna completely off source at the higher frequencies. Severely affected data will need to be flagged. The AIPS task UVFLG can flag an elevation range using APARM(1) and APARM(2).
