VERY LONG BASELINE ARRAY OBSERVING LOG -------------------------------------- Project: BT094C Observer: Taylor, G. Project type: VLBA Obs filename: bt094ccrd.* Date/Day: 2008JAN19/019 Ants Scheduled: SC HN NL FD LA PT KP OV BR MK =UT-Time===Comment===============================================MF#===%AD==AMD= 0305 Begin file. MK joins later. VCLOCK check ok. SC at -0.165 UT1-UTC check ok (-0.29) GPS delta < 10us (MK: -4.1us) Operator: T. Perreault 0305-0418 %NL getting ocassional ROTATION MOTOR FOLDBACK WEA 34 24 errors when subreflector is moving between bands. This is due to cold weather at the site. Will monitor; subreflector is not reaching position in ROTATION at 4cm - there is not enough time allowed for the subreflector to get into position. 0342 MK joins 0347-0349 *PT Mark5 communication lost error OTHER 100 2 Pack JIVE-036 in bank B may be getting ready to fail. Will monitor and switch to the pack in bank A (NRAO-011) if needed. 0418-2006 *NL not observing. The subreflector is not getting WEA 100 948 into position now at all at any of the frequencies (6cm/4cm/2cm) - getting almost continuous ROTATION MOTOR FOLDBACK and ROTATION MOTION ANALYSIS faults. Contacted scheduler, he said that this observation can run with 9 sites. Pulling antenna from observing since no good data are being recorded. 0420-0424 *FD autostowed. Power glitch. Repointed. COM 100 4 0654 New operator is Betty Ragan. 0744 *HN subreflector rotation is often very slow to reach the commanded position. It is also very cold there, with considerable snow having fallen in the last day or so. It's especially having trouble getting to the 32.5 position, frequently failing to make it in time, or getting stuck on the way with "rotation motors foldback" errros. 1217-1219 *FD out of point. Power glitch. COM 100 2 1451 Operator is Anthony Sowinski. 1945 End at SC. 1950 *Raining at MK. 2006 End. Downtime Summary: Total downtime : 980 min Percentage downtime of observing: 9.6% Average downtime per hour : 5.8 min Total scheduled observing time (# Antennas): 10210 min (10) Notes: * = Entries where data was affected. % = Entries where data may have been affected. & = Entries where the site tech was called out. WEA = Weather entries. MF# = Maintenance form or major downtime category associated with a problem. %AD = The percentage of an antenna affected by a problem. AMD = Total antenna-minutes downtime for a problem. Tsys = System Temperature (TP/SP x Tcal/2) ACU = Antenna Control Unit FRM = Focus/Rotation Mount RFI = Radio Frequency Interference VME = Site control computer CB = Circuit Breaker vclock = Program that compares site clock time to a standard.
