VERY LONG BASELINE ARRAY OBSERVING LOG -------------------------------------- Project: BM273A Observer: McClintock Project type: VLBA Obs filename: bm273acrd.* Date/Day: 2008JAN07/007 Ants Scheduled: SC HN NL FD LA PT KP OV BR MK =UT-Time===Comment===============================================MF#===%AD==AMD= 1530 Begin file VCLOCK check ok. SC at -0.181 UT1-UTC check ok GPS delta < 10us (FD: -5.6us) Operator: T. Perreault 1530-1914 *SC subreflector unable to be moved - FOCUS 21989 100 224 brake is locked up and won't release. Antenna not observing. 1530 OV having high ACU voltages, when file started there was an EL brake fault condition. Will monitor, contact site techs about the problem when they arrive. 1530 KP wea: high winds, antenna has autostowed once already; fog, light rain and drizzle 1547 %BR wea: low overcast, snowing - dish 100% covered with about 2" of new snow; 20cm window covered. 1600-1739 %PT seeing elevated system temperatures 22012 100 99 Have been seeing sporadic high TSYS across multiple observing files at 4cm, however there is nothing consistant - some 4cm files are perfectly fine, others have the elevated TSYS. When the elevated TSYS do happen, they rise (or fall) gradually. Baseband switched power is low and autolevels are being driven negative as if something is saturating the signal. 1613 OV wea: clear, no precipitation 1704 %LA wea: snowing, 2.5" on ground, dish 100% covered 1739-1806 *PT stowed so site tech can do some investigating 22012 100 27 on the 4cm TSYS problem. 1806-1914 %PT TSYS slightly lower but still higher than 22012 100 68 what they should be. 1914 End. Downtime Summary: Total downtime : 418 min Percentage downtime of observing: 18.7% Average downtime per hour : 11.2 min Total scheduled observing time (# Antennas): 2240 min (10) Notes: * = Entries where data was affected. % = Entries where data may have been affected. & = Entries where the site tech was called out. WEA = Weather entries. MF# = Maintenance form or major downtime category associated with a problem. %AD = The percentage of an antenna affected by a problem. AMD = Total antenna-minutes downtime for a problem. Tsys = System Temperature (TP/SP x Tcal/2) ACU = Antenna Control Unit FRM = Focus/Rotation Mount RFI = Radio Frequency Interference VME = Site control computer CB = Circuit Breaker vclock = Program that compares site clock time to a standard.
