VCLOCK, GPS Delta, and UT1-UTC check ok. 2200 Begin at all stations except MK. 2200 LA is writing Mark V disc pack NRAO-039 in bank B. 2200 WEA: Web cams show cloudy SC,PT, and BR. Clear to partly cloudy elsewhere. 2215 *PT WEA: Raining. Operator is Sonja Mendoza. 2255-2305 %SC Elevated system temperature, reason is unknown. Occurring at 7mm, doesn't appear to be RFI. 2259 Readbacks okay. 2312 MK joins observation BT070A as scheduled. 2359 Readbacks okay. 0000 Date is 2005JAN25/025 0012 %MK WEA: Occassionally gusty winds. 0059 Readbacks okay. 0113 Readbacks okay. 0148 Readbacks okay. 0220 %LA WEA: Occassionally gusty winds. 0221 LA is writing Mark V disc pack NRAO-049 in bank A. 0247 Readbacks okay. 0344-0347 *PT Antenna not in point mode probably due COM 100 3 to a power glitch. Repointed. 0347 *HN Bad readback on drive 1, tracks 3 and 7. 15596 All other readbacks okay. 0356-0359 *SC Subreflector will not drive into correct 15359 100 3 position in rotation at 6cm. 0421-0426 *SC Subreflector will not drive into correct 15359 100 5 position in rotation at 6cm. 0433-0521 *SC has run out of tape, calling out site tech HUERR 100 48 to put up a fresh tape. 0447 *HN Bad readback drive 1, tracks 2 through 10. 15596 All other readbacks okay. 0546-0552 *SC Subreflector will not drive into correct 15359 100 6 position in rotation at 6cm. 0547 Readbacks okay. 0600-0607 *SC Subreflector will not drive into correct 15359 100 7 position in rotation at 6cm. 0601 *HN Bad readback, drive 1, tracks 2,3,4. 15596 All other readbacks okay. 0630 New operator: T. Perreault 0636 Readback check ok 0643-0708 OV loss of Intranet communication 0656 SC observation ends 0701 OV dialed into the site through the dial backup modem. Traceroute reaches the modem at the site but not the VME computer. Pinging the station VME does not work, nor does attempting to log in. Called the station chatterbox to initiate a reboot of the VME. Station rebooted at 0706 UT, on source at 0708 UT. Will remain on dial backup for rest of observation. Given that the antenna was immediately on source following the reboot, I suspect that the site continued to observe up to the initialization of the VME reboot. The loss of communications may in fact be in the VME comm board. 0706-0708 *OV rebooted station VME to clear comm problem COMM 100 2 0706-0839 %OV due to the station VME rebooting the HUERR 100 93 MARK5 unit went from STMODE to VLBA 64. The recorder group seems to think that there is a problem with the MARK5 when running tape and not disc; the data are formatted and re-formatted, and there are problems correlating the data. There may be problems in correlating the data from OV during this time period. I spaced out resetting the MARK 5 to STMODE. Sorry. 0736 *HN bad readback drive 1 tracks 2-7; all other 15596 sites ok 0838-0839 *HN ran out of tape. HUERR 100 1 0839 End.
