Just a few notes about the nonstandard aspects of this experiment. 1) We are observing two radio stars which are part of a binary, both fit in the VLBA and phased VLA beams so there is a single pointing position middway between the two stars. At correlation time time two passes must be made to correlate at the two star positions, I assume that I will get the normal request for correlator parameters and we can ensure the right coordinates are supplied at that time. 2) In order to make sure that both stars fit in the synthesisied VLA beam in will be neccessary to remove the outer 4 VLA antennas of the N arm in this CnB configuration. 3) We would prefer to have 10 sec averages from our VLA only data so we can more carefully edit the data which has lots of slews in it. 4) I think we prefer the 128-4-2 recording mode with 133ips tape speed (we don't care about cross polarisation so these diffculties with that mode are not a problem for us).
