VERY LONG BASELINE ARRAY OBSERVING LOG -------------------------------------- Project: BB168F Observer: Bartel, N. Project type: VLBA Obs filename: bb168fcrd.* Date/Day: 2004FEB01/032 Ants Scheduled: SC HN NL FD LA PT KP OV BR MK =UT-Time===Comment===============================================MF#===%AD==AMD= Operator is Dave Pierce. VCLOCK and GPS Delta check okay. UT1-UTC: -0.41 0928 File begins, except at MK, which starts later. 0928-2129 *BR TSMPLOTs show very noisy system temperature OTHER 13 93 for channel 3 (2266.49 MHz RCP) throughout entire observation. 0928-2129 *KP 13cm right FET #2 voltage intermittenly 13206 38 273 fluctuating; channels 1 and 3. Data from channel 2 appears bad as well, while the data from channel 4 seems to be good. I'm going to carry the 13cm as 75% down. Receiver is scheduled for replacement. 1121 MK Joins in. 1121-2129 *MK 13cm LEFT FET #2 voltage out of range; channels 12940 25 152 1 and 3 (LCP) data are affected. 1230-1400 %HN TSMPLOTs show noisy system temperature SCH 25 22 on channels 1 and 3 (2258.49 MHz RCP (CH1) and 2266.49 MHz RCP (CH3)). Elevation plot shows that antenna was very high in elevation during this time. 1428 New operator: T. Perreault 1554-1639 *SC ran out of tape. Called oncall site tech Greg HUERR 100 45 Worrell, left message on voicemail. 1618 SC contacted site tech Pete Allen, he said that he is an hour away but will head to the site and will try to contact Greg enroute. 1620 SC Pete called, said that he contacted Greg who is on his way to the site. 1622 SC Greg called, he is about 10 minutes from the site. 1738 OV wea: cloudy, no precipitation 1830-2129 %HN TSMPLOTs show noisy system temperature SCH 25 44 on channels 1 and 3 (2258.49 MHz RCP (CH1) and 2266.49 MHz RCP (CH3)). Elevation plot shows that antenna was very low in elevation during this time. 1902 MK wea: scattered cirrus & cumulus. no precipitation 1906 SC observing ends 1920-1923 *MK not writing to tape. Site tech Tony called, HUERR 100 3 wanted me to send a tape terminate. Did so and tape is not running. Tony remounted tape and that cleared the problem. 2034 KP wea: clear, no precipitation 2106 LA wea: overcast, no precipitation 2129 End. Downtime Summary: Total downtime : 632 min Percentage downtime of observing: 8.8% Average downtime per hour : 5.3 min Total scheduled observing time (# Antennas): 7210 min (10) Notes: * = Entries where data was affected. % = Entries where data may have been affected. & = Entries where the site tech was called out. WEA = Weather entries. MF# = Maintenance form or major downtime category associated with a problem. %AD = The percentage of an antenna affected by a problem.
