Tape on drive 1 was at beginning of tape and not moving. Did a reobs, tape still did not move. Called site tech, he said tape had been postpassed and waiting to be unloaded. There were no "Autoallocate tape can not allocate tape" messages on LOG until after site tech unloaded the tape. There was no tape up on drive 2 that we could have swapped over to continue recording.
