As described in the proposal and my e-mail on Nov 11, we are monitoring the H2O maser spectrum of the target source NGC 1052 using GBT, to trace an emerging narrow maser feature. We have already done three epochs and found the feature at VSLR = 1840 km/s. The feature was as bright as 100 mK (60 mJy) on Nov 3. On Dec 6 (tonight), it got down to 50 mK (30 mJy). Probably we are facing decay phase of the narrow feature. However, I found that our observation is behind a long queue. http://www.vlba.nrao.edu/astro/schedules/dynpri.txt We are concerning that late VLBA observations could miss the emerging narrow feature. So, please consider urgent observation with the VLBA.
