LA writing to Mk5 disc NRAO-046. PT writing to Mk5 disc NRAO-059. KP writing to Mk5 disc NRAO-038. VCLOCK and gps delta checks okay. 0343 Begin at all sites. 0537 Readbacks okay. 0545 %High wind gusts at NL. 0602 *Raining at HN. 0709-1241 *PT out of observing, taking part in PT-LINK project SCH 100 332 AJ314A. 0711 %High wind gusts at MK. 0749 Readbacks okay. 0906 Readbacks okay. 1013 Readbacks okay. 1018 *Raining at SC. 1112 Readbacks okay. 1115 %SC flagged as having FRM out of position; it is in FRM the correct position but to clear a rotation motor overspeed fault I had to do a Master Clear which also reset the command positions, flagging it as out of position until the next scan reloaded the commands. 1207-1316 *SC rotation not going to commanded positions. 15359 100 69 1207-1214 *HN rotation motion analysis fault. FRM 100 7 1208 Readbacks okay. 1233 SC reports light scattered low clouds, wet conditions. 1307-1309 *HN rotation position error. FRM 100 2 1337-1340 *SC rotation west motor overspeed fault, rotation 15359 100 3 out of position. Master Cleared to remove the error, commands reloaded at next scan and rotation got on position. 1343 %HN reports overcast skies, low clouds, some snow in dish. 1412 FD reports clear skies. 1427 New operator: T. Perreault 1451 LA wea: clear, no precipitation 1456 KP wea: clear, no precipitation 1502 BR wea: high, thin overcast, no precipitation 1508 Readback check ok 1554-1559 *PT autostowed. Power glitch. Repointed COM 100 5 1602 OV wea: clear, no precipitation 1708 Readback tests: No problems seen. 1708-1714 *SC ROTATION WEST motor overspeed error. 15359 100 6 Did a MASTER CLEAR reset and re-read observation scan. 1708-1714 *HN ROTATION MOTION ANALYSIS FAULT condition. FRM 100 6 Did a MASTER CLEAR reset and re-read observation scan. 1708-1823 *PT not recording data. Mark 5 unit is switching OTHER 100 75 between RECORDING and MOUNTED states. A quick run of TSMPLOTs shows that data has bee flagged roughly from 1708 UT. Could not reach W. Briskin, he is probably in a meeting. Rebooted station VME at 1816 UT to see if this would clear the Mark 5 problem. If not, will switch over to tape. 1818 PT reboot of VME failed to correct Mark 5 recording problem. Switching over to tape. 1818-1828 *SC ROTATION WEST motor overspeed error. 15359 100 10 Did a MASTER CLEAR reset and re-read observation scan. Subreflector failed to reach commanded position at 7mm - off by 0.5 counts. 1823 PT observing resumes writing tape to HST00210. 1833 W. Brisken showed up, he will conduct a Mark 5 test following this observation at PT to see what is going on with the unit. 1856-1907 *SC ROTATION WEST motor overspeed error. 15359 100 11 Did a MASTER CLEAR reset and re-read observation scan. Subreflector failed to reach commanded position at 7mm - off by 0.8 counts. 1907-1916 %SC Band and STOP TIME on VLDIS is not reflecting the actual current observing information as read from the SCREENS > OBSERVATION PARAMETERS screen. Re-read the current scan (#835) in an attempt to get VLDIS to update, it didn't. Updated at source change ok. 1916-1920 *SC source change to 7mm. Subreflector failed to set SW 100 4 up at 7mm position. Did a MASTER CLEAR reset. When I re-read the observation scan, VLDIS again jumped back to displaying scan #834. Did a reboot of the station VME to see if I can get the buffers cleared out. 1920-1928 *SC ROTATION WEST motor overspeed error. 15359 100 8 Did a MASTER CLEAR reset and re-read observation scan. Subreflector failed to reach commanded position at 7mm - off by 0.4 counts. 1925 MK wea: clear, no precipitation 1935-1946 *SC ROTATION WEST motor overspeed error. 15359 100 11 Subreflector failed to reach commanded position at 7mm - off by 0.3 counts 1946 End.
