He has about 1.5 passes left. 1457 Readback check ok 1530-1620 *MK Ran out of tape. Site tech enroute. HUERR 100 50 1600 Readback check ok 1628-1636 *PT autostowed due to winds in excess of 55 mph WEA 100 8 1654 Readback check ok 1702-1740 *PT autostowed due to winds in excess of 55 mph WEA 100 38 Repointed, autostowed again at 1716 UT (power glitch caused by winds). 1717 Readback check ok 1740-2317 *PT have attempted to point the antenna several 13085 100 337 times, each time I do so I immediately get an AZ#1 armature over current error condition and the antenna autostowed. Called oncall site tech Kelly Gatlin, he said that beside there being multiple power glitches that Eric Carlow & Nelson Atencio have been working on the antenna SERVO. Kelly suggested that I try to reach Eric. Have called him on his cell phone, got an "out of range" message. Called Eric's home, his wife said that she will try to reach him. 1819 Readback check ok 1822 Have not been able to reach Eric Carlow on his cell phone. Have tried to call Kelly again, phone is busy. 1840 Was able to reach Kelly. Told him that I (so far) have been unable to reach Eric. I attempted to point PT again, but as soon as it was pointed there was an immediate AZ#1 armature over current error and the antenna again went into STANDBY. Kelly said that this sounds like it may be a problem with the new tachs that were installed, but without getting ahold of Eric, he isn't sure how to proceed or even if there are spare parts at PT. 1851 Readback check ok 1923 Readback check ok 1941 BR wea: scattered high clouds, no precipitation 2000 MK site tech Bill Hancock called, wanted to know what was in the upcoming observing schedule. He said that of Tuesday there was nothing beyond Xmas shutdown, and that the last e-mail he got from D. Medcalf (VLBA Operations Supervisor) indicated that dynamics were scheduled up to Xmas shutdown. Bill said that he was oncall for the rest of today and Saturday, and that he will take care of the tape change for Saturday. 2016 PT wea: raining 2016 Readback check ok 2025 Called Paul Rhodes (VLBA site tech supervisor) to inform him that Bill Hancock called operations. Also informed him of the problem at PT. Paul said that it sounded like the tachometer, and that either Eric or Nelson would have to take care of it. Paul said to keep trying Eric. 2042 Readback check ok 2115 Tried to call Eric again, got out of range message. 2123-2128 *FD autostowed. Power glitch. Repointed. COM 100 5 2223 Eric is still unreachable via cell phone. 2232 PT Eric called from site, he will look into the problem. 2242 *PT Eric called to ask us to shut down the observing system because it was interfering with his attempts to troubleshoot the ACU problem. 2243 new operator is Jim Ogle. 2244 Called Paul Rhodes to inform him that Eric was at PT working on the problem. 2310 LA reports broken low clouds. 2315 Eric called from PT, said to start it back up and try pointing the antenna. 2315-2321 *PT does not have any error messages and the EL 13085 100 6 motors are running okay, but the antenna is not moving at all in EL. Eric is investigating. 2316 KP reports scattered low clouds. 2320 *Eric found some blown fuses, once those were replaced the antenna began moving normally. 2321 PT on source. 2348 End.
