Would not REC 100 14 restart. Tried waiting a couple scans to see if it would start alone, did not. Manually restarted scan a few times, this did not restart drive either. Finally turned all heads on manually and started tape manually as well. Writing on track two on pass number eleven. 0504-0506 *MK tape at end of reel before end of pass. TAPE 100 2 0520-0522 *HN tape at end of reel on forward pass TAPE 100 2 before end of scan. 0527 %PT checker message says "cannot autoallocate". However tape is still writing/recording and VLDIS claims tape is stopped. 0531-0534 *PT rebooted computer to try and get auto allocate working again. VLDIS not updating tape status. 0534 %PT before above reboot tape was writing on track number 2, after reboot tape writing on track number 10 ??!! According to VLDIS. 0526 *KP last three tape readbacks not very good on most tracks. 0603-0608 *PT at end of reel before scan end. REC 100 5 0609-0613 *PT rebooted computer again, cannot get REC 100 4 tape to start except manually. Began writing at footage 230 at 0613. VLDIS not updating tape status correctly. Claimed tape was recording on track #2, and said tape was stopped after I manually restarted it. 0804 All readbacks look good, except KP. Most KP tracks not good. 0808 End.
