Perreault 1353 Readback check ok 1355 LA wea: clear, no precipitation 1427 BR wea: broken low clouds, no precipitation 1432 NL there was a loss of Intranet communication with NET the site at 1415 UT. Waited for a bit to see if it was a temporary thing, then saw the following message on the LOG screen: readS(): host [1]Marvin: user nlvlba: unknown socket condition 1: S31Rr=-1 errno=148 Called VLBA operations supervisor over to see if he had ever seen this message before. He hadn't, suggested that I call the site to see if they knew which host Marvin was. Called site, tech Mike said that it was DJ's (other tech) PC and that there was a tech from AT&T there working on stuff which would explain the loss of Intranet communication. Went on dial backup - Mike will send a heytech to operations when the AT&T tech is done. There was no loss of data. 1447 KP wea: high overcast, no precipitation 1511 NL site tech Mike called, asked to be disconnected from the dial backup modem. 1513 NL Mike sent heytech, Intranet comm is back 1540-1555 NL Intranet comm down again. Called site techs to see if AT&T tech was still working on stuff, they said he left and was heading back to Chicago. Called Gene Runion, left message on his voicemail - and naturally as I was leaving a message the Intranet comm came back. 1619-1624 *SC autostowed. Power glitch. Repointed.
