Bottom line: Observe BM247 at "roughly" one month intervals. (fwd) Hi, According to the scheduler's notes, bm247 was granted 12X10 hours, one of which has already observed. Bm248 got 10X16 & 2X8, two 14.4 hour files under that name have already observed (all at 128 Mbps). With an approximate total of 255 hours left, he's submitted two combined files, one of 16 hours to be used in Oct. & Nov., one of 24 hours for the remaining 9 epochs. I've called the 24 hour files the new bm247, the 16 hour files will bm248c and d. Will reorganize the OMS windows to reflect these changes. Please let me know if i've made an error. Probably should have talked him out of this... Hi, Attached are two .key files that combine my two programs BM247 and BM248. For most months, the combined run is for 24 hours, which should make it easier to schedule and also requires 2 hours less time per month than the individual programs do. The main advantage to me is that I can use the same polarization calibration. The usually trustworthy bright, polarized sources at RA=0400+/-4 hr. haven't been cooperating lately. For October and November only, when some of the BM248 program sources are close to the sun so that we can't observe them in X-rays with RXTE, the program is shortened to 18 hours, which combines the 10 hours from BM247 with the 8 hours from BM248 approved for those two months only. I have named the .key files as follows: bm247comb.key: for the combined 24-hour program that should be observed most months bm247k.key: for the combined 18-hour program to be observed in Oct. and Nov. only Please let me know if you notice any problems.
