Welcome to program SCHED. Version: Release of 18 Sept. 2003 The manual is at http://www.aoc.nrao.edu/~cwalker/sched/sched/sched.html Unix users should set $SCHED to the base area where SCHED is installed. ** NEW ** Most run time messages will be in sched.runlog Some useful commands to give now if running interactively: SCHedule= : Specify input file. PLOT : Invokes uv, xy, rd, and uptime plotting. FREQLIST=lowF,highF : Make frequency list (MHz). Then exit. EXIT : Leave program. / : End of inputs - run program (or EXIT). SRREAD: Reading source catalog: Program_input SRREAD: Please convert source catalog from use of EPOCH to EQUINOX. STREAD: Reading station catalog: /home/filehost/cwalker/sched/catalogs/stations.dat STREAD: Will read locations file /home/filehost/cwalker/sched/catalogs/locations.dat SCHIN: Found 150 input scans. SETFCAT: In setup: rm4cm.set Station VLA1 WRTMSG: Special message from routine SETFCAT: ----------- WARNING ----------- SCHED could not find a frequency catalog group that matched the setup file and station mentioned above. Below are the closest matches with at least some overlap in RF frequency. You can use FREQLIST (a main program input) to get the frequency catalog group and IF numbers that are available. Or you can look in freq.dat in the catalogs area. Since SCHED cannot confirm the validity of your setup, check and be very sure it is correct! In the table below, a match is indicated by a T. A mismatch is indicated by F. They have the property that they do not necessarily return to the same phase if the frequency is set to something other than a multiple of 10 MHz. This is ok for the VLA because all antennas use the same Fluke signals. But it will spoil phase coherence between scans for frequency switched VLBI (or EVLA) observations. This schedule has setups with different VLA Fluke settings and at least one is not a multiple of 10 MHz. Therefore you are at risk of random phase changes between scans for the VLA. This may or may not be a problem depending on the nature of the observations. If you don't plan to carry phase between scans separated by scans at other frequencies, then there should not be a problem. If you are doing some sort of combined frequency switching and phase referencing, then it won't work. ====================================================================== CHKVLA: **** See warning about VLA Fluke freqencies in sched.runlog SCHOPT: First output scan will be number 1 WRTMSG: Special message from routine AUTODOWN: * Stations using automatic tape allocation are being removed from scans when the source is below the antenna pointing limits.
